Ganyard Hill Farm

Today, we visited Ganyard Hill Farm in Durham. We went to pick pumpkins, play with friends, eat a picnic lunch, and find out what people do on a farm.

It turned out to be more of a farm amusement park, than an actual working farm. So it was lots of fun for us city folk.

The girls climbed the hay mountain, found their way through the hay maze to the corn crib, fed the goats and pigs, picked cotton, and of course pumpkins too.

During our picnic lunch, one of the girls asked what a piece of farm equipment was for. My answer: “It’s something you drag behind a tractor…umm…to make a garden…maybe?”
